Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes how Trayl LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of TRAYL (the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below.

1. Personal data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, password hash, role (brand, creator, admin).
  • Profile data — company name, brand logo, creator handle, avatar, social profile links.
  • Campaign data — briefs, deliverables, messages, assets, contracts, performance numbers.
  • Support data — messages you send to our support team.
  • Usage and telemetry — pages visited, features used, errors encountered, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, device identifiers, IP address.

Payment information (card details, billing address) is collected directly by our payment processor Stripe and is not stored on our servers.

2. How we use your data

  • Providing the Service — creating your account, running campaigns, generating contracts and reports (legal basis: contract performance).
  • Customer support — responding to your questions (legal basis: contract performance / legitimate interests).
  • Security and fraud prevention — detecting abuse, securing accounts (legal basis: legitimate interests, legal obligation).
  • Product improvement — understanding how the Service is used to make it better (legal basis: legitimate interests).
  • Communications — service announcements and (with your consent where required) marketing emails (legal basis: legitimate interests / consent).
  • Compliance — meeting legal, accounting, and tax obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).

3. Who we share your data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, video transcoding, analytics, error monitoring.
  • Payment processor (Stripe) — to process subscription payments, manage billing, handle refunds, and issue invoices.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, and auditors where reasonably needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as you have an account with us. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. EU/UK residents can also complain to their local data protection supervisory authority. We aim to respond to requests within one month.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside your country. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
